So here’s just us, Rocky, Rocky’s daddy Zac Efron, and me. We just decided to take a family picture because we just wanted to have something nice like that to put in a frame in our living room. What do you think of our happy family?

Just An Update

One of the things I have learned so far in New York is to take things one day at a time. I tend to be always wanting everything quick, and here that can’t happen. I want to have this job, meet cool people to hang out with, meet a nice guy to date, know all the hot spots in the city, etc. I should just give time it’s time.

At least I already started to work four days after I arrived to New York. That’s pretty good. I have been spending dough on dinner, on some cloths, nights out on the bar, that I just needed money to start coming in instead of just coming out.

Oh and I also just bought this cool Sony digital camera that also takes video. It’s pretty cool. I was thinking of putting up a weekly video here in my blog of where I went that week and show you around New York. I already took some video of this week so maybe I’ll upload a lil’ video by this Sunday.

There is just so many things I want to do already, and I’ve been here only one week. Yesterday I went to visit Empire Beauty School in Midtown. Oh, because in case you didn’t know, I want to get into Cosmetology. Well the lady that I got to talk to was really nice and bubbly. She showed me around the school and talked to me about everything I needed to know. Tuition including books and supplies is a whopping $12,850. I guess that’s a good investment. Hair stylists can make a good living out of it if they are good. I am still thinking about it because I don’t know if I should wait a bit longer. Classes begin October, and If i go to school full time I will be done in eight months. If I want to wait I can start classes on December as well, or I will have to wait till next year. Most likely I think I will wait till 2009. Who knows.

Coming To You Live From New York City!

OK so today I woke up at 3.15 AM because my flight was at 6 AM! I know It’s too early, but It’s not like I had any sleep! That’s right, I didn’t sleep at all last night. Maybe because of the excitement? I don’t know but I only slept like a few minutes in the plane. Sad I know. So i was supposed to arrive to NYC at noon because I had to stop in Atlanta, but the nice counter lady at American Airlines switched me to a non-stop flight! I was like ’sweet!’ So I ended up arriving to NYC at 9.30 AM.

It’s the same story with Rocky. He woke up early like me obviously, and the poor guy probably couldn’t sleep during the flight, but at least he was quiet the whole time! poor little guy, he looks so nervous in the city. He’ll get used to it, and he’s gonna love it when he meets other Chis.

For tonight I just have planned dinner with a friend and then I’m going to get some rest! Tomorrow is a busy day! I’ll keep you updated and also I will try to get some video.

Turning The Page

Tomorrow morning I will be on my way to New York, leaving behind my family in St. Louis. They will miss me, and I will miss them back for sure, but I feel like this is my time, and I feel that this is a move for the better. I am turning the page and now ready for a new phase in my life. 

I probably don’t realize this yet but this is really a whole new start for me. I need this new start. I was over with St. Louis long time ago. I don’t see myself doing anything meaningful here with my life, that is probably because I aim high. I have dreams that I hope I can reach in New York. I know I will have to work hard, and I am more than up for it.

I still can’t believe this is going to happen. I am so excited. I am curious of what little Rocky is going to think about the city! I hope he loves it as much as I do. I love New York because it always has so many things going on, never a dull moment, NOTHING compared to St. Louis. I also like meeting great people, and New York is full of them.

NY also brings you a lot of creativity and inspiration, two things that I need in order to be successful with my blog! Which I must confess, I enjoy tremendously. Even though I started this blog a little bit more than  year ago, this is just the start of a great blog! Stayed tuned.

Damn it! Fuck! Shit!

Today I came home and I find that my love of my life, my precious laptop, has a fucking virus! It’s AntiVirXP08 to be exact. I was so pissed. i swear I wasn’t looking at any porn sites!

How can people get away from this? Fucking idiots. I wonder what they got to gain from this anyway? I thought I was being careful but I guess you are always exposed to this shit no matter how well you protect yourself.

I can’t do anything with my laptop, it stalls and you have to restart it, but that does no good because it will stall again eventually. Not to worry though! I know someone that works for Geek Squad, and tomorrow he’s gonna hook me up. Hopefully by tomorrow I’ll have my precious baby back!

UPDATE 9/5/08

BackEnd Trojan!

It sounds naughty I know, but that is one of the viruses my laptop had! It actually had 300+ type of viruses. CRAZY I know! According to my friend at Geek Squad though, that is nothing compared to the thousands he has found in other computers.

My laptop is now clean and free of viruses. I hope it stays that way for a long time!
