Today’s LA Earthquake

July 29, 2008 · Leave a Comment

How about the earthquake in the LA area today huh? Thankfully there weren’t injuries or any great damage, but it sure scared the shit out of many people. I sure was scared when an earthquake hit the Midwest back in April of this year, remember that one?

Speaking of earthquakes in Los Angeles, didn’t Nostradamus’ predictions consist of earthquakes in LA? Yeah, they did. It seems that California is not doing very well lately, I mean, first Arnold, then fires, now earthquakes. What’s next?

I don’t know about you, but I feel like weird things are going on that suggest a great change in the world is coming. Call me crazy but I kind of want to believe about what’s going to happen in the year 2012. If you didn’t know, in December 21, 2012, the Mayan calendar ends! There are many ‘predictions’ of what could happen on that date, so many that some people opt to believe that nothing at all is going to happen.

Nonetheless, we NEED to be saved from this crazy world we live in today! ha ha. Here’s a quote from 21 December 2012: the mayan calendar end-date, a site I found:

The ancient carved stones and the stars themselves tell us we are on the brink of a new world age. There is no reason not to take a leap of faith into imagining what may be in store. We may trust that it is time for humanity to awaken into a true partnership with each other, with the Earth, and the Cosmos. By accepting this partnership we may claim our birthright and become Galactic Citizens who care for and sustain the planet, thus sustaining ourselves. This is clearly the challenge of our times. Yet, arriving just in time and on schedule is the Winter Solstice dawn on the day we may remember that we are truly Children of the World.

Enjoy The Ride, There Is No Return Ticket

July 23, 2008 · 1 Comment

So a friend sent me this email about George Carlin’s views about aging. It’s quite interesting. You MUST read this, or else.

George Carlin’s Views On Aging

Do you realize tha the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we’re kids? If you’re less than 10 years old, you’re so excited about aging that you think in fractions.

‘How old are you?’ ‘I’m four and a half!’ You’re never thirty-six and a half. You’re four and ahalf, going on five! That’s the key.

You get into your teens, now they can’t hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead. ‘How old are you?’ ‘I’m  gonna be 16!’ You could be 13, but hey, you’re gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life! You become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony. YOU BECOME 21. YESSS!!

But  you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There’s no fun now, you’re just a sour-dumpling. What’s wrong? What’s changed?

You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you’re PUSHING 40. Whoa! Put on the brakes, it’s all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50 and your dreams are gone. But wait!! you MAKE it to 60. You didn’t think you would!

So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50, and make it to 60. You’ve built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it’s a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!

You get into your 80’s and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn’t end there. Into the 90’s, you start backwards; ‘I was JUST 92.’

Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. ‘I’m 100 and a half!’ May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!

How to stay young

1. Throw out nonessentials numbers. This includes age, weight, and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay them.

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever, even ham radio. Never let the brain idle. An idle mind is the devil’s workshop. And the devil’s family name is Alzheimer’s.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Sorround youself with what you love, whether it’s family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health. If it’s good, preserve it.  If it’s unstable, imprive it. If it is beyond what you can imprive, get help.

9. Don’t take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

And always remember: Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting: ‘…holy sh*t …what a ride!’

Religion Is Bullshit

July 19, 2008 · 2 Comments

I think people are afraid to realize that religion is pure bullshit, and that “god”, may not exist. Imagine that everything that you have been told and taught all your life is a lie. Think that just maybe religion is a way to control the world.

Seek the truth people.

If you are reading this and you are a religious person, remember that everyone has the right to their own opinion and beliefs, and that you have to respect that. Now, having said that, feel free to comment and share your thoughts.

“War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, …” “If this is the best god can do, I am not impressed”.

George Carlin (RIP) – In this video he echos what I believe. Go on and watch this funny video people!

Mick Harte Was Here

July 10, 2008 · 1 Comment

As I go through my bookshelf looking at all the stuff I have, I found one particular item that took me to the past, and reminded me how my life has been something else - the stories I could tell!

let’s go back eight years, I think. A 13-year old boy is sitting at his desk, typing in his computer a translation of a book from English to Spanish, with no help of dictionaries or anything else. A project that he had to get done. It wasn’t a school assignment, it wasn’t something that he was told to do. This assignment was for pure fun.

The book was called “Mick Harte Was Here”, and the boy had read it when he was previosly living in the US. He liked it so much that he decided to make a Spanish copy of it so his Mexican relatives could read it. When he finished translating the book he printed out the pages in book-like type of paper, and went to his neighborhood papeleria, to put the whole book together. A papeleria – think of it like a smaller kinkos. They are really common in Mexico and you could find one almost everywhere.

The Spanish version was called “Mick Harte Estuvo Aqui”. There was three copies I believe, one the boy kept and another he gave to his aunt. To this day, the little boy still keeps a copy of it. That little boy is me ya’ll!

Is There Such Thing As Bisexuality?

July 9, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Everyone has different opinions about bisexuality, people are never going to agree with each other. Some say that there is no such thing as being bi, you are either hetero or gay, others say that people are just sex addicts and call themselves bi to justify their behavior in a way, others argue that you can really go either way and love a person for them and not what they got between their legs.

All good arguments. Me personally, I don’t know what to think anymore. I used to think that you are either gay or straight, but now I am more confused about all this. Let me tell you, back when I was younger in the teens, I used to say that I was bi even thought I knew inside I only had eyes for the guys. Why? because I thought if I said that I was gay, it would sound too strong, I believed it was something bad, and honestly I wasn’t ready to accept who I really was.

Later on I realized that being gay wasn’t a big deal and saying that I was bi just to put a level of normality if you will, in my life, was just silly. Let me clear up something up, I am not trying to insinuate that people make it up and say they are bisexual or anything like that, I am just saying that at one point in my life, to kind of gradually accept who I really was I guess, said I was bi.

The funny thing of all this is that if I were really horny, and maybe with some drinks on me, I wouldn’t mind doing it with a girl. To tell you a secret, I have made out with one or two girls before, and I probably don’t remember if I liked it or not because I might have been intoxicated at the time when these events took place. So you see, we may all have some biness in all of us.

Here are some comments about this topic from other people. It really makes you think -

I am bisexual. I love the strength and security being with a man can bring, and the warmth and tenderness being with a woman gives. Women and men have completely diffrent vibes. Being Bisexual has NOTHING to do with being horny, or a sex addict. It is Orentation. Just like YOU can’t help beng GAY, WE can’t help being BI!

I’m bi and here is why, some times i want cock from a guy and others i wanna be held in a paire of strong manly arms but most times i wanna have my face in a ladys panties, i feel relationshipd with girls are in my opinion more relationship material but the right cock comes around and im on my knees.

I don’t think you can use bi’s are just horny as a legitimate excuse. gay guys are horny mofo’s, that doesn’t mean they go looking for the V every time a cat comes around. Some girls are pretty promiscuous too, but they won’t necessarily hook up with a girl just for kicks

I think everyone is bisexual. People do fall in to the extremes but, if a gay guy makes out w/ a girl (and you know some of us love to do that) then that’s still a level of bisexuality. I’ve known 3 guys with girlfriends that fooled around w/ me cus they wanted to know what there were missing out on. you see people like this all the time on gay dating sites like manhunt.net all the time. I’m kinda jealous of bi guys, think about it, i could double my chances of finding a partner if i were bi.

There’s guys I’m attracted to,and girls I’m attracted to.My personal experience leans to the guys side on a sexual level;I love being with a woman too though. On a relationship level I’d say I would much rather have a relationship with a girl. I tried having a go at a relationship with a couple dudes, and it didn’t work out;too much drama! Who knows, though?

I Have Made A Decision

July 8, 2008 · 1 Comment

If you have read my blogs, you know that I was in a dilemma of whether or not I should be moving to New York or stay in St. Louis. Notice I said was, as in the past. I am no longer in that situation, now I have made a decision after a lot of thought.

I am moving on. I am getting nothing accomplished here, and I know for sure, that New York is the place that I should be in. Because I moved back to STL from NYC last year, I was in a cloud of confusion. I thought that I moved back because NYC no longer fulfilled my desires, but I was wrong. I just recently realized that NYC is exactly for me. I came back to STL because I had to, it was meant to be. I did some things that had to be done, and now I am ready to go back to NY. Life works in mysterious ways, indeed.

I am going to say it again, destiny is already written for us. Everything happens for a reason. Things happen because they had to happen. That is what I believe.

I think of it as if I had taken a “brake” from NY to come to STL and do the things I had to do. Now I am ready to go back and hopefully, make a life for myself there. I have lots of things in my mind that I want to do, I want to reach the sky, bitches!

PS - Oh, and Rocky… He’s in it with me till the end!

To Set Things Straight

July 7, 2008 · 3 Comments

People can be so ignorant at times. I hear them say “being gay is a choice”, they also sometimes ask “when did you turned gay?”. That just pisses me off. Fortunately for them, no one has said any of those ignorant comments to my face, otherwise I don’t know if I could control myself.

Though, people have asked me two persistent questions about my homosexuality, and those are:

How did you know you liked boys?

That’s an easy answer. I always respond with a question: “How did you know you liked girls?”, that’s if a guy is asking me, which usually is the case. I think girls are smarter than that to be asking that type of question. I knew I liked boys because as straight guys like boobies, I like dick. Simple as that.

When did you start being attractive to boys?

I started liking boys when you started liking girls. Easy as that. I was born gay, so it would be  natural that I started liking boys just as everyone starts liking the opposite-sex.

To those people that say being gay is a choice, well, it may, if you agree that you being straight was a choice as well. But that doesn’t even make sense. You have no choice, you were born that way. You may choose to like something that doesn’t come natural to you and suffer for the rest of your life, but what good does that do?

A person does not have a say on it’s own sexual orientation.

Now, to all gay haters out there… let us be, and let us live in harmony, for goodness freaking sake!

The thing that I worry about, is that many gay people are afraid to come out and tell the world that they are gay. Me personally, I don’t give a fuck what anyone thinks about me being a homo. I can tell anyone I meet I am gay at first hand with no problem. That’s just the way I am. You have a problem with it? Well, that’s YOUR problem.

A Model For A Day

July 5, 2008 · 1 Comment

This picture was taken about a year ago, when I was living in New York. That day I just felt in a modely type of mood so I asked a friend to take some pics of me. In this pic, I was in a balcony, and from there the view was amazing - you could see the Chrysler building.

My hair looks a little bit out of control, but what do you think? Do I pass for a model, or should I stick to my day job? Ha ha.
