People have the misconception that all of Mexico is dirty & filthy. Well, that is not the case. There are a lot of beautiful places, but most people don’t know about these because all they see on TV is the ugly side of Mexico, because god forbids they show something other than border towns.
Here’s a video that I took back in 2004 while I was in Guadalajara, my hometown. GDL is the second biggest city in Mexico. It is historic, modern, and some call it the heart of Mexico.
Something to notice, is that around the .54 mark you will see a soldier noticing that I was video taping and gives me a thumbs up. Kind of cool. That was a rare sight because that was like the first time I saw the “army” in the city streets. Also, the statue you will see in the video, it’s called “La Minerva”. It is the most recognizable landmark in GDL.
Enjoy the video, as you will take a small look into the city which I lived in for about 10 years.
