St. Louis

July 16, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I just got back from my brief visit to St. Louis. It was really nice to see my family and friends. I have to say, I felt weird at some point, I don’t know what it was.. being in St. Louis after three months of living in New York, realizing the differences between the two lifestyles I had in STL and the one I have in NYC, thinking if I am better off in New York…. and so on. I guess I just got to see things in different perspectives.

Overall this trip was good, it was necessary… but I am back in NYC now!

Copa America 2007

July 12, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Mexico lost against Argenita 3-0… really bad… but at the Final, which was Argentina vs. Brasil, Brasil kicked Argentina’s ass  and won 3-0. How ironic. At least Mexico got 3rd place. The 3rd place was between Mexico and Uruguay, but we won 3-1.

I have to confess that only when there are these big soccer tournaments like Copa America, or the World Cup, I like to watch it and have passion for it.

Times Square Scare

July 11, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I happened to be in Times Square today when the NYPD closed down a part of Times Square because they thought they might had a bomb situation on their hands. At the end it ended up being nothing more than just a bag full of cloths. Some stupid fuck just “forgot” their bag. On the other hand, I started to realize that something can really happen at any time and I can be gone in a second due to the fact that I live in a city vulnerable of attacks of evil-doers. People just need to stop being careless to prevent shit like this.

Mexico Kickin’ Ass

At soccer that is. The Copa America 2007 is on full speed now, and there have been some jaw-dropping results. I am sure a lot of people didn’t expect for Mexico to beat Brazil when they played last week, but Mexico got their head in the game and won 2-0. The latest game they played it was against paraguay and we won 6-0…. damn that’s gotta hurt. I even felt sorry for the paraguayos. Tomorrow Mexico will play against Argentina. Tough team but hey, we beat Brazil and we can beat Argentina as well.
